Just saw an article on Stomp about a bus driver not stopping at a bus stop.
Do you know in Mexico a typical bus ride usually leaves you wanting to puke because the drivers are constantly mad at life and always taking it out on the pedals. It's a symptom called Machismo of Mexican men.
And there are no bus stops around so everybody waits in the sun and the bus stops wherever you flag it... or not. It depends on his mood. There are no "next bus arriving in..." electronic signs at all because there are no bus stops lol. And you can wait for 40min wondering if the bus number was operating that day. Oh and there never is air-conditioning. And still I look forward to my bus rides for all of Mexico it can show me. And nobody else is complaining.
So Singapore, you have air-conditioned buses, sheltered bus stops so you know where to wait for buses and what buses services they have, some ez-link tapping system, an information system on the next bus timings... all for a fare of $1 plus. It's really okay if the bus driver drives a little too quickly or happen to miss one bus stop. Please.
