Today certifies myself having lived and studied in Mexico for a month, so I suppose I'll now be entitled to describe Mexico to all you curious chipmunks!

Mexico is definitely a really different place, so much that cultural shock has attacked the girl who hasn't been out of Asia before 22nd July 2012. Hahahah.

1) Mexicans are SUPER FRIENDLY people. The last thing I'd expect are the friendly security guards in school who never ceases to greet you good morning or whatever. The only greetings I get from the NUS library woman is "you can't bring food in!!!!"

2) Taxi here is dirt cheap! I cab to school everyday for like $4 which is split up amongst the 3 of us so it's cool!

3) Everything here is right-hand drive so I'm a little puzzled with the road systems at the beginning, but it's getting better! Hope I don't forget how to drive when I get back!

4) Pace of life here is really slow and lazy! I was just reading my old blog posts of how uni life is so hectic and I'd just wanna go back to sec school days with yawn lazy afternoons and I'm totally getting it now!

5) Homework? What homework? Hahahah. This is totally an exchange student's life. Afterall, sterling results can't be mapped back anyway. Hehehe. :)

6) Last Sunday host parents just bundled us into the car and drove us out for ice-cream! It's awesome to be part of a family here too! :D

7) We're currently trying to fill all our weekends with trips to wherever, so it's gonna be great fun!

8) Homesickness do kick in at times so I'm really grateful for Skype/Viber/Whatsapp to allow me to still be in touch with everyone back in Singapore!

9) We. Are. The. Only. Few. Asians. In. School. Feels really strange to for once be the foreigners, hahaha. But people here are always curious about Singapore and asks "where on the world map are you?"

10) Have to complete homework during the weekend but for tonight we'll be headed over to another international student's housewarming party! Hope its gonna be fun! :D

11) Next week we're going to watch a live wrestling match! It's insane! I've never been to a wrestling match before! These two months are full of firsts for me!

12) I'm loving my room in my host house. :D I've made it so me!

13) Weekends now are filled with movies, shopping, looking at Mexico, car-trips with the host parents. Hahahah similar to my life in Singapore but in a totally new place with totally new people!

14) I'm now living the healthy life I couldn't get in Singapore! Basketball lessons on mon, wed & fridays! Sleeping early everynight and waking early everyday! Sometimes having movie stayover at Rachel's host home. :D
